East Midlands Trains Seat Sale starts tomorrow - thousands of bargain train tickets available!

Article posted on 16/07/2009

Starting tomorrow (Friday 17 July), East Midlands Trains is offering thousands of customers the opportunity to bag a bargain train ticket in its summer Seat Sale.

The bargain Seat Sale will run until midnight on Sunday (19 July), offering 100,000 seats to and from London priced from just £10 each way.

Tickets can be booked from 00:01 on Friday 17 July via the East Midlands Trains website, www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk, and are valid for travel to London on selected trains throughout August from the newly opened East Midlands Parkway station, as well as Leicester and Nottingham stations.

Marc Turley, Head of Marketing at East Midlands Trains has urged people not to miss the chance to grab a bargain:

He said: “With the summer holidays just around the corner, we know that many people are now starting to make arrangements and plans for the summer, and for many, the cost is a deciding factor on where to go and what to do.

“Our three day Seat Sale will provide a fantastic opportunity to bag a ticket to London for just £10, leaving customers with plenty of spare change to spend on enjoying the sights of our Capital City.   And the beauty of our Seat Sale tickets are that they are available for journeys throughout the whole of August, meaning that you’re not restricted to just going and coming back on the same day, but could go for a weekend, a week or even longer!”

The Seat Sale is the latest initiative from East Midlands Trains to encourage travel over the summer by offering a range of low priced fares.  Other initiatives include the launch of Red Dot Days, a series of days throughout the summer to promote the advantages of travelling by train.  The first Red Dot Day will be held at Corby station on Wednesday 22 July.  For further information on Red Dot Days, please visit East Midlands Trains dedicated website at www.reddotday.co.uk.
