Train operator East Midlands Trains has today opened the first of two brand new head office buildings in the East Midlands in Nottingham.
The premises in Waterfront House on Station Street, adjacent to Nottingham railway station, will be home to some of the company’s senior team including customer service and customer relations.
In December this year the company will be opening additional new offices on Pride Park in Derby where operations, safety, engineering, commercial, major projects and finance will be located.
Managing Director Tim Shoveller says:
“To be as effective as a management team it’s very important for us as to be spread across our route as much as possible and not just all based in one location. For this reason I was keen to have not one head office building – but several. We now have a significant management presence at Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.
“I want my team to be more visible to both passengers and staff. These new facilities will make that much more possible.”
The new office premises in Waterfront House in Nottingham and on Pride Park in Derby will replace the company’s present head office building in Midland House on Nelson Street in Derby.
