East Midlands Trains services back to normal as Lincoln station reopens for business

Article posted on 01/09/2008

East Midlands Trains is pleased to announce that its Lincoln services have today returned to normal.  This follows a six week closure of the station to allow Network Rail to carry out essential improvement work to signalling systems around the station.

Commenting, Nigel Carlisle, East Midlands Trains’ Route Manager for Lincolnshire said:

“We’re extremely pleased that services have today returned to normal, as planned.  To mark this, and to thank passengers for their patience during the improvement works, we’ll be launching a special two for one offer on East Midlands Trains services to and from Lincoln”.

The offer, which will run from 4 September to 30 September, is available on services to and from Lincoln after 09.30 Monday to Friday, and all day on Saturday and Sunday.  It is subject to terms and conditions, and these can be found on the website at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/lincoln.
