Free WiFi for First Class passengers at Leicester train station

Article posted on 04/07/2008

East Midlands Trains has announced that next week sees introduction of free WiFi in the First Class lounge at Leicester train station. Access to the internet will be available in the passenger lounge for First Class ticket holders from Monday 7 July.

Fiona Craig, Station Manager at Leicester, said, “I hope the introduction of free WiFi for passengers using the First Class lounge will be welcomed by those using the area whilst waiting for their train. They will now be able to catch up on their emails or browse the web whilst they wait for their train.”

The First Class lounge at Leicester train station is open Monday to Friday from 0545 to 1900.

The lounge provides a range of facilities including hot and cold drinks, complimentary snacks, newspapers, BBC News 24 and, from this week, of course, WiFi access.
