Industrial Action affecting East Midlands Trains services called off

Industrial action planned for Saturday 3 May, Saturday 10 May and Saturday 17 May has been called off by the RMT Union.

Following talks with East Midlands Trains, the RMT Union has today confirmed that it will call off all industrial action being taken on these dates, therefore enabling East Midlands Trains to run all of its trains on all routes.

Commenting, Tim Shoveller, Managing Director for East Midlands Trains said:

“We’re very pleased that following our successful talks yesterday, the RMT Union has now agreed to call off this industrial action and we are able to run every single one of our trains this coming Saturday, and on the 10 and 17 May.”

East Midlands Trains will continue discussions with the RMT Union over the coming weeks to secure reliable Sunday services for the future.
