East Midlands Trains launches a brand new improved timetable on 14th December 2008. This will see improvements for Sheffield to London passengers with faster journey times and more available seats to the capital.
When this timetable is launched East Midlands Trains will continue to operate its popular named premier business train to London, ‘The Master Cutler’, but will also be running a further two named prestigious business services:
· 06.47ex Sheffield arriving St. Pancras 09.13
· 07.44ex Sheffield arriving St. Pancras 10.06
And the company is now looking for the name for each of these services to sit alongside ‘The Master Cutler’ in its timetable. The public and staff from the company are being invited to put forward suggestions for a fitting name for each of these services and the best two names will be chosen on 22 September and announced shortly afterwards.

Commercial Director David Horne said “This is a great opportunity for us to recognise another two key services from South Yorkshire to London. We’re looking for names that reflect and represent the importance of the service we provide to connect Sheffield with the capital. We'll be giving the two members of the public that put forward the best suggestions a pair of First Class open returns to London each and of course printing the names that are eventually chosen in our timetables.”
All suggestions must be received by 21 September 2008 09.00. In the event of duplicate entries, winners will be drawn at random from winning entries.
