Disruption Information

We are improving your trains on the Liverpool/Nottingham/Norwich route

There are ongoing improvements being made to our trains and we don’t just mean a lick of paint, we have listened to your feedback and are working hard to get our trains up to date, fitting modern facilities for convenience and practicality.

Our fleet of 26 Class 158 two carriage trains that primarily run on our Liverpool/Nottingham/Norwich route are currently undergoing a big refurbishment, however whilst this work takes place we will from time to time have trains running with fewer carriages.  We also have essential maintenance to contend with and again this will impact on other routes too.

So what are these improvements?

  • USB Charging sockets for mobile phone and tablets
  • Passenger Information Displays
  • Environmentally friendly and easily accessible toilets

What else is happening during refurbishment?

  • Exterior refresh
  • Reupholstered seating
  • Interior refresh including new carpets

Other routes that may occasionally see our newly refurbished trains are:

  • Lincoln/Nottingham/Leicester
  • Newark/Nottingham/Matlock
  • Derby/Crewe
  • Nottingham/Mansfield/Worksop

As much as we understand that having shorter trains is uncomfortable and can be disruptive to your journey we do try to use our available rolling stock efficiently to ensure that we deliver the service promised to you.  We are 38.5% through the refurbishment programme so we still have some way to go yet before it is finished and thank you for your patience whilst the work continues.
