£15 tickets to London available with East Midlands Trains on Saturday 6 July

East Midlands Trains will be holding one of its popular Red Dot Days on Saturday 6 July and tickets to London are now on sale for just £15 return.

The Red Dot Day will offer unlimited travel from East Midlands Parkway to London, or anywhere else on the East Midlands Trains network , with tickets priced at just £15 return for adults and £5 for kids.   

East Midlands Trains launched its innovative Red Dot Days in June 2009 as a way to demonstrate how easy and enjoyable train travel can be.  The Red Dot Day being held at East Midlands Parkway on 6 July is also designed to further raise awareness of this station, which will become the key transport hub during the Nottingham re-signalling works taking place from 20 July to 25 August.

Marc Turley, Head of Commercial for East Midlands Trains, said: “Our Red Dot Days have already proved a huge success and we know that people will be pleased to hear that we are planning another one for 6 July.

“With all day parking for just £5 and a regular train service to London, East Midlands Parkway has proved a popular location to hold our Red Dot Days and we’re confident that people will make the most of the opportunity for a bargain trip to London on 6 July.

“We want as many people as possible to take advantage of this special offer, so are urging people to book early and reserve a seat in advance, which can easily be done at East Midlands Parkway station.”

Passengers can travel on any East Midlands Trains service from East Midlands Parkway throughout Saturday 6 July.  Return travel can be made on any train, any time, provided return travel is made on the same day.

Tickets are available only from East Midlands Parkway station with a special voucher, which can be downloaded from    Passengers are advised to book early and reserve seats for their journey.

The re-signalling work will take place between Saturday 20 July and Sunday 25 August and will result in some significant changes to East Midlands Trains services on routes to and from Nottingham.  During this time, East Midlands Parkway will become the key transport hub for passengers.  In preparation for this, 150 additional car parking spaces will be added to the station, making 1000 spaces in total, and extra waiting facilities and toilets are also being installed.  Full information about the re-signalling project and timetables for travel between 20 July and 25 August can be found at
