Advice for rail passengers travelling to the Uttoxeter Grand National

Rail passengers travelling to the Uttoxeter Grand National on Saturday 19 March are being advised of special travel arrangements put in place by East Midlands Trains, in conjunction with Uttoxeter Racecourse.

East Midlands Trains will be providing two additional services for passengers returning home after the races, which are:

  • 17.50 from Uttoxeter to Derby
  • 17.45 from Uttoxeter to Stoke (for onward connections)

In addition, services will be strengthened to run as three-carriage trains for the first time. This will provide additional capacity for passengers travelling on East Midlands Trains services to/from the races.  Passengers are strongly advised to check train times for their return journey, which can be done by visiting www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk.

The car park at Uttoxeter station will be closed throughout the day on Saturday 19 March to allow a safe and easy flow of pedestrian traffic from the station to the racecourse.
