Disruption between Norwich and Ely- Monday 3 December 2012

Train services between Norwich and Ely have resumed following over-running engineering work in the Shippea Hill area.

The engineering work was carried out over the weekend in order to renew the signalling systems on the line.

Unfortunately the testing of the signalling took longer than planned and the line had to remain closed until this afternoon.

Passengers who were unable to travel with East Midlands Trains today on this route may use their tickets on our services tomorrow.

We apologise to any passengers who have experienced inconvenience as a result of disruption to our services, however we are pleased to have worked in partnership with Network Rail to re-open the line as quickly as possible.
