East Midlands Trains has launched a new rail season ticket targeted at Derby County fans. The season ticket will offer fans discounted rail travel on its services into Derby for every home game and will also provide free travel for any additional cup games played at home during the season.
The season ticket will be available for travel from Saturday 9 August, when Derby County play their opening fixture against Rotherham United. It will cover rail travel for all home league matches, offering a 10% discount against the normal rail fares.
Tickets for the season are available on selected East Midlands Trains’ routes and prices start at just £61.40 for a season’s travel to Derby from Spondon, £85.20 from Belper and £87.20 from Long Eaton.
Donna Adams from East Midlands Trains, said: “This offers Rams fans an easy and simple way to travel to all the home games over the coming season. By buying just one train ticket at the start of the season, fans can forget about their travel arrangements and focus their energy on the exciting season ahead.
“What’s more, by buying one of our football season tickets, fans will save 10% on their journeys over the coming season, and an added benefit is that travel to home cup games will be offered free of charge as part of the deal.”
Tickets can be purchased from Derby station ticket office and are only available for Derby County season ticket holders. To qualify, passengers will need to show their DCFC season ticket.
Donna continues: “As was also the case last season, only rail passengers holding a valid train ticket or those with a Derby station bridge pass will be able to use the station to gain access to and from Pride Park. By buying their rail tickets in advance, fans will be able get quick and easy access from their home to the match.”
