Fantastic Service recognised at the East Midlands Trains On Train Oscars

FANTASTIC SERVICE RECOGNISED AT THE EAST MIDLANDS TRAINS ‘ON TRAIN OSCARS’ 

·        Eleven awards handed out to East Midlands Trains On Train Staff 

·        More than 500 nominations received 

·        Winners from right across the East Midlands Trains network 

On train staff, who go the extra mile to help customers travelling with East Midlands Trains, have been recognised for their outstanding service at the second annual ‘On Train Oscars’. 

East Midlands Trains provides more than 470 services every day and on train staff play a vital role in making sure our customers have an excellent experience. 

The On Train Oscars were hosted by Andrew Conroy, Head of Customer Experience Delivery and took place in Sheffield on 16th June. Eleven awards were announced, following more than 500 nominations. 

Andrew Conroy, Head of Customer Experience Delivery for East Midlands Trains, said: “We pride ourselves on always striving to provide an excellent experience for our customers and our on train staff are absolutely vital in delivering that. The On Train Oscars are our way of recognising staff who deliver that fantastic service right across the network. 

“It has been fantastic to hear so many examples of our staff working hard for our customers and these awards are a fitting recognition of those efforts.” 

All winners are automatically entered into the end of year Great Service Awards. Customers will also be able to nominate members of staff for the Great Service Awards later this year.

Team of the Year: Resources, Nottingham

Friend of On Train: Ray Cook – London St Pancras

Unsung Hero: Margaret Game – Clerical Assistant, London St Pancras

Customer Host: George Baiceanu – Customer Host, London St Pancras

Newcomer: Dragos Voicu – On Train Team, London St Pancras

Train Manager: Mark Ireland, Derby

Outstanding Contribution: Joy Iggledon, Train Manager, Nottingham

Senior Conductor: Den Divers, Lincoln

Service Proposition Team: Tim Bunn, Chef, Derby

Top Seller Award: Craig Nolan, Customer Host, Sheffield
