Faster and clearer information for East Midlands Trains customers following investment in new information screens

  • Brand new customer information screens now in place at Derby, Leicester and Sheffield stations
  • Part of a £200,000 customer experience investment programme to improve real time information for passengers

New, state-of-the-art customer information screens are now in place at Derby, Leicester and Sheffield stations, providing real-time train information for East Midlands Trains customers.

The investment makes it easier for customers to get up-to-the minute information when they arrive at the station, including when and where their train is arriving.

 

 

 

At Derby station, brand new information screens have been added to the overbridge that connects different platforms. These screens save customers the time and inconvenience of having to check information on individual platforms and allows access to live information away from the main station concourse.

 

 

 

 

Manufactured by Infotec, this is part of a £200,000 investment by East Midlands Trains to improve customer experience at three of the busiest stations on the network.

Rick Cammack, Project Manager for East Midlands Trains, said: “These new customer service improvements are all part of East Midlands Trains’ commitment to keeping customers informed and as up to date as possible with the latest information.

“The new screens will help customers with simple and easy-to-read next train information. The screens that were installed throughout Derby station have already received positive feedback from staff and customers who have reported how much of an improvement they are. The installation of screens on the footbridge for the first time means there is a much smoother flow of customers from concourse to platform.

“We understand that customers want fast and reliable information and these screens deliver that. They are also very well designed and pleasing on the eye which is an added bonus.”
