Buses are replacing trains between Nottingham, Newark Castle and Lincoln until Monday 9 September because of a derailed freight train at Carlton. Repairs to damaged track is now taking place.
Train services remain suspended following a freight train derailment on Tuesday morning. The train involved has been removed and the track is being repaired. Ground conditions under the level crossing at Stoke Lane need to be stabilised and the crossing repaired before services can resume. Network Rail is working with the council and a number of utility companies to complete this repair as quickly as possible. Unfortunately the extent of work required means that services are to remain suspended until Monday 9 September. A further update confirming when services will resume will be issued as quickly as possible.
Our direct services between London, Newark & Lincoln are also unable to run between Lincoln & Nottingham.
