New East Midlands Trains website provides easier access to cheap tickets

East Midlands Trains customers are now being given easier access to cheap train tickets, following the launch of the company’s new website.  The new website, developed following customers’ feedback, has launched this week and features a new and significantly improved way to find bargain train tickets.

Lucy Cameron, Marketing Manager for East Midlands Trains explains:  “We’ve received lots of feedback that customers trying to get the best deal when booking online sometimes found it tricky to find the cheapest available tickets.  So, based on this feedback, we’ve developed a new website that features a ‘Best Fare Finder’, which will guide customers to finding the cheapest possible train tickets within a single click from every page.”

The new Best Fare Finder tool compares ticket prices from multiple times of the day and days of the week on a single, easy to read page.  This means that if customers can be flexible about travel arrangements, they can quickly and easily find the cheapest train ticket available.  And, with tickets available from just £7 one way, there’s plenty of bargains to be had.

The launch of the new website also brings a number of other improvements for customers including: 

  • Alerts for cheap train tickets – customers can register online to receive email alerts from East Midlands Trains telling them when batches of cheap train tickets are released 
  • Tips on how to save money – the new website features a page dedicated to special offers and ways to save on the cost of train travel 
  • Better information about car parking – it’s now easier to check car parking facilities and prices for all East Midlands Trains stations 
  • Customers can now check the carbon footprint of their train journey using the new carbon calculator

Lucy continues: “In addition to all these great new changes, we’ve also made some improvements to ‘My Journeys’, our successful and unique personalised journey-planning tool, which will make it even easier for customers to manage their personal account with us.

“With the launch of our new website, we’ve tried to incorporate all the feedback we’ve received from our customers and provide new facilities that are easy for everybody to use.  We’re confident our customers will welcome the changes we’ve made and are hopeful even more people will want to try out our new, customer-friendly website!”
