Customers using Skegness station are now benefitting from an even cleaner station following further investment by East Midlands Trains.
The investment is a dedicated cleaning team, provided by locally based facility services company, Grosvenor Services, to provide additional cleaning at the station throughout the year with increased activities for special events and throughout the busy spring and summer months.
More than 350,000 customers a year use Skegness station, with the majority of these journeys taking place during the spring and summer. Until now, the station team has been responsible for cleaning the station in addition to other duties to keep the station running smoothly. This new investment will provide a dedicated cleaning team at the station throughout the busiest times of the year.
Grosvenor Services is a specialist facility services company providing businesses and organisations in a range of sectors with the highest possible levels of service. Operating throughout the UK, they have had an operational base in Skegness for over 20 years.
Adrian Allen, Service Proposition Manager for East Midlands Trains, said: “We know how important it is to passengers that our trains and stations are clean and tidy. That is why we are investing to make sure they are cleaned even more frequently.
“Skegness is one of our busiest and most popular stations during the spring and summer months and we hope customers will recognise and welcome our efforts to provide an even cleaner and tidier station.”
