Big Green Coach is the largest events travel company in the UK, providing transportation to and from most major gigs and festivals in the UK. Founded in 2009, environmental principles lie at the heart of its foundations. For every customer who books travel it sponsors and protects five square foot of Amazonian rainforest for 10 years. To date, over 1,200,000 square foot of the rainforest in Peru has been protected through this initiative. During the Newark Festival, Big Green Coach will be providing a number of coach routes to and from surrounding towns, including Mansfield, Grantham, Lincoln and Nottingham. Coach travel is ideal for traveling home from festivals as the coaches are timed to depart 45 minutes after the music ends – so there is no need to rush back or miss any of the music!

The partnership with East Midlands Trains and Big Green Coach will be welcomed by festival-goers, local authorities and the event organisers, providing cost-effective and broader accessibility options for anyone planning to attend, and will help to ease congestion in and around the town.

Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of Liz Hobbs Group said ”We are now in our fifth year of producing the Newark Festival, and through this promoting local businesses, and the many fantastic attractions the town has to offer. By teaming up with Big Green Coach and East Midlands Trains, not only are we working with two key service providers, but we can increase the accessibility to the festival, which will encourage new visitors to come to the event and see the town. It will also help us to ensure that we are doing everything we can to traffic congestion when the town is at its busiest. We are sure this will be greatly received by residents and retailers alike.

The 2016 Newark Festival will this year feature Riverside Rocks (tribute night) on Friday 17th June (featuring Antarctic Monkeys, Bon Jovi Experience, Four Fighters and The Fillers) followed by a spectacular 80’s night on Saturday 18th June (featuring Tony Hadley, ABC, Bananarama and Midge Ure).
