Commenting, David Horne from East Midlands Trains said:

“We know just how important it is for any town to have direct links to London, and for that reason, we’re absolutely delighted to be providing a brand new, direct rail link from Melton Mowbray to London from 27 April.

“This new link will provide many opportunities for passengers from Melton: it will serve travellers who need to arrive in London in time for a morning business meeting, and leisure travellers who want to enjoy a full day seeing the sights of London.  Or for the more adventurous, a quick change of platform at St Pancras onto Eurostar services can have you in Paris in time for lunch!”

The new Melton Mowbray to London service will provide the first direct link to London since the mid 1960s.
