Staying Hydrated On Board Our Trains

Safety and Comfort During Hot Weather

On Board Our Trains

Most of our trains have air conditioning units which allow travel in comfort, even on very hot days. However we do recommend taking a bottle ofwater with you for the journey.

If you feel unwell whilst travelling with us, be sure to speak to our team either at the station before you board or our on train team if you are already on our train. Many of our team are first aid trained and will be able to give you the attention that you need straight away.

If you are at an unmanned station most locations have an emergency help point where you can get in contact with us quickly so we can help you.

Hot Weather On The Railway

When the temperature of the track gets very high we may be advised by Network Rail that speed restrictions will be introduced on some of our routes. This means that some of our trains may have to run at reduced speeds.

We will be able to run a full timetable but you may experience some minor delays.  We are currently operating a full service but would advise you to keep check on our website for any updates.
