The Countdown is On - One week to go until the new Lincoln to Nottingham Sunday timetable service starts

  • The most frequent ever Sunday services on the Lincoln to Nottingham Line start Sunday 21 May
  • New hourly services for most of the day between Lincoln and Nottingham
  • Extra services provide earlier journeys for customers for shopping, work and leisure

The new East Midlands Trains timetable launches this Sunday (21 May) bringing earlier and more frequent Sunday services between Lincoln Central, Newark Castle and Nottingham.

Lawrence Bowman, Commercial Director for East Midlands Trains, said: “I am absolutely delighted that we will very soon be introducing earlier and more frequent Sunday services between Lincoln and Nottingham. 

“The new Sunday timetable will be a real boost for the region and especially for the communities and businesses along the Castle Line.

“Lincoln’s town crier will be joining us at the station on Sunday to welcome and see off the first service so I’m sure it will be a real occasion for everyone involved.”

Customers using the new Sunday services will benefit from:

  • New hourly services for the majority of the day
  • First service from Lincoln Central to Nottingham will now leave at 0847 instead of the previous earliest time which was at 1508
  • First service from Newark Castle to Nottingham will now leave at 0929 instead of the previous earliest time which was at 1550
  • First service from Nottingham to Lincoln will now leave at 0930 instead of the previous earliest time which was at 1529
