The Engine Room opens its doors for customers at Market Harborough station

  • New artisan inspired takeaway ‘The Engine Room’ opens today at Market Harborough train station.

Customers using Market Harborough station are benefitting from the opening of a brand new artisan inspired takeaway, which has opened today (Monday 4 January).

The Engine Room takeaway will offer East Midlands Trains customers a range of delicious filled baguettes, homemade cakes, great coffee, a selection of artisan bread for the Toast Station and much more.

The Engine Room is based in the booking hall within the station and will be open Mondays to Fridays from 5.30am-5pm, Saturdays from 8.30am-4pm and on Sundays from 9am-1pm. It is the first takeaway of its kind across the whole East Midlands network and will offer a great new facility for customers using the station.

David Oldershaw, Area Station Manager for East Midlands Trains, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that the Engine Room has now opened at Market Harborough station.   This is great news for customers and will offer a major improvement for them.

“We’re certain it will be really popular with our customers and we’re pleased to welcome the new team to the station.”
