The Derwent Valley Line travels through the picturesque and historic landscape between Nottingham, Derby and Matlock. We run an hourly train service between Matlock and Nottingham, via Belper and Derby. 

Enjoy the long summer evenings with this Bargain Summer Evening Ticket. Leave the car at home and enjoy a drink or an evening meal in Derby, Nottingham or the towns and villages along the Derwent Valley Line.

  • £4 return between Long Eaton and any station between Duffield and Matlock
  • £6 return between Nottingham/Attenborough/Beeston and any station between Duffield and Matlock
  • Evening Fares are valid 15 May to 3 September, after 6.15pm Monday to Saturday and 4.30pm on Sunday for travel in either direction, on the trains listed below.

Evening train tickets can be purchased from Nottingham, Beeston, Long Eaton and Derby stations or from the conductor on board the train. This East Midlands Trains promotion is in association with Cross Country, who operatesome connecting services between Derby and Nottingham.
