Off Peak Train Tickets

What are Off-Peak Train Tickets?

Off-Peak tickets allow you greater flexibility than Super Off-Peak and Advance train tickets and allow you to save in comparison to an Anytime ticket. Travel restrictions on Off-Peak tickets are as follows:

  • Off-Peak tickets are valid when arriving into London at or after 1005 and departing London St Pancras between 0901 and 1626 and at or after 1859 on a weekday* (valid anytime at weekends/bank holidays)
  • On Fridays, the outward portion of an Off-Peak ticket is valid on any train departing London St Pancras after 0901.

*Please note that Off-Peak tickets are not valid on the 1900 London St Pancras International to Corby service for passengers travelling to Luton or Bedford.

Are Off-Peak train tickets for me?

Off-Peak tickets are for you if you can travel outside of the morning and evening peak hours but need to be able to arrive into London St Pancras earlier than or depart London St Pancras earlier or later than you are able to with a Super-Off Peak ticket.  For this reason they are great for business meetings or for those that simply want to have greater choice from the available travel times.

Off-Peak tickets usually go on sale approximately 12 weeks prior to the travel date.  Unlike Advance tickets Off-Peak tickets do not alter in price as the travel date nears.
