Our Season Tickets are available on all East Midlands Trains routes and are available for seven days, or any period between one month and a year. All Season Tickets are valid for travel on any day and any valid train/route within your validity period, so for monthly or annual tickets that includes weekends too.
Book your ticket using the tool to the right. Simply enter your journey and the length of time you would like your season ticket to be valid for.
Alternatively, you can use the Season Ticket Booking Tool to compare the price of monthly season tickets against annual season tickets - simply leave the end date blank to compare.

Ditch paper Season Tickets and opt for our new Smartcard, taking the hassle out of travel by helping you beat the queues at the station and enabling you to manage your account online.
A handy way to carry your Season Tickets on one card and it’s all securely in one place. You can wave goodbye to paper tickets and having to feed them through the Ticket Gate – just touch your Smartcard onto the Smartcard readers and off you go. Plus you’ll be doing your bit for the environment, reducing paper tickets, helping to cut waste and littering.

We’ll send one to you by post within five working days. As soon as you’ve got it, you can buy tickets and load them onto the card. You’ll still need a photocard when travelling using a Season Ticket – request one at any station by providing a passport size photograph of yourself.
Tickets purchased online or on our app can be collected at our Ticket Gates, Platform Validators, or Ticket Machines. Alternatively, if you have an Android smartphone, you can load your tickets on your card by tapping your card against the open app.

East Midlands Trains season tickets can be purchased for both First Class and Standard Class travel. If you choose to travel by First Class, you will be able to make the most of our spacious seats, free WiFi and even a complimentary breakfast on certain weekday services.
Please note that First Class is not available on all routes.
For journeys to London you can add on a London Underground ticket, making managing your ticket easier. To add London Underground travel to the purchase of your Season Ticket, just select a ticket with “London Zones 1 – 6.

We like to take extra care of our Season Ticket holders; if you’re a mum-to-be with a Standard Class Season Ticket valid for one month or more, and have received your MAT B1 form, we’ll happily provide you with a complimentary Mums to Be Pass.

Anyone can get a Smartcard. We do not offer specific cards for children however you can purchase tickets for children with a Smartcard.
To start using your card you’ll need to purchase your Season Ticket, this can be done online, on our app or at one of our Ticket Machines.
From June, you will also be able to purchase tickets at the Ticket Office.

Yes, our Season Tickets can be purchased for either First or standard Class Travel. First class train travel is available on all our services to and from London St Pancras. If you choose to travel by First Class, you will be able to make the most of our spacious seats, free WiFi and a complimentary breakfast on certain weekday services.
London Underground tickets can only be added on using a paper Season Ticket. To add London Underground travel to the purchase of your Season Ticket, just select a ticket with “London Zones 1 – 6.”
It will be possible to purchase a London Travelcard with your Smartcard Season Ticket later in 2019.
No, you will only be able to switch to our Smartcard if you are a new customer or when renewing your Season Ticket.
Yes, if you have purchased a Season Ticket on a Smartcard you must still carry a Photocard. You can request a Photocard at any station by providing a passport size photograph of yourself.
No, just purchase a new Season Ticket on your same Smartcard.
Once you have a Smartcard and you’ve purchased your Smart Season Ticket, you must also collect the ticket. This can be done at any of our Platform Validators, Ticket Gates, or Ticket Machines. Collection facilities at each station are displayed below. If there are no collection facilities at your station, please find a member of staff at the station or onboard to help you.
Alternatively, if you have an Android smartphone, you can collect your tickets on your card by tapping your card against the open app.

Your Smartcard will be read by our Ticket Gates and onboard our trains by the Train Manager or Conductor using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. The Train Manager or Train Conductor will also inspect your photocard

You can either keep hold of it until you need it again in the future, destroy it, or return it to East Midlands Trains, Customer Service Academy, Hudson Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8HS.
