East Midlands Airport is the gateway to Europe for the Midlands, connecting Nottingham, Derby and Leicester to a wide variety of European cities and holiday destinations. With many train stations connecting to East Midlands Airport via bus, it is extremely easy to travel to the airport by train.
East Midlands Airport can be reached from Nottingham station and Derby station via the Skylink bus which offers frequent connections to the airport.
The Skylink bus service departs Derby station for East Midlands Airport approximately every 20 minutes, seven days a week, and offers a journey time of just 36 minutes. If you select to travel to East Midlands Airport from Derby station, there is no need to buy a separate bus ticket for the Skylink service, just ask for a single or return ticket to East Midlands Airport when booking at the Ticket Office; you will then be able to use the same ticket for both your train and bus journey.

The Skylink bus service departs Nottingham station up to every 20 minutes, seven days a week and offers a journey time of 55 minutes to the airport. The Skylink bus departs from Broadmarsh Bus Station which is just a short 5 minute walk from Nottingham Station.
Long Eaton station offers the shortest journey time from the station to the airport with a connection time of 20 minutes via the Skylink, which serves the station up to every 20 minutes, seven days a week.
As well as the Skylink, you can travel to East Midlands Airport via East Midlands Parkway Station.
If you are travelling on your own, the most cost effective way to travel between the airport and East Midlands Parkway is via the new shared shuttle Railink service. This service costs £6.00 per person each way and there is no need to pre-book, simply step off the train at East Midlands Parkway and board the next scheduled shuttle service. Please note that advance bookings are required if a return journey from the airport is required outside of the scheduled timetable.
