Travel to Sheffield in comfort with East Midlands Trains. A break in Sheffield combines the bustle of a city with the picturesque landscape of the nearby countryside.
Get taste of what's on offer in this short video:
Sheffield is an unusual city in that within just six miles from the city centre you can be out exploring the rolling hills of the Peak District and admiring the lush scenery that stretches as far as the eye can see. Offering many walks and delicious pub lunches, it’s easy to forget that you are only minutes away from the UK’s fifth largest city.
However if you’re looking to enjoy beautiful scenery without the countryside walks then Sheffield also offers a luscious stroll around its Botanical Gardens located just over a mile from the city centre, where plants from all over the world can be found set against the impressive listed buildings. Alternatively, if you’re looking to not leave the city centre, then pay a visit to the Winter Gardens, the largest urban glasshouse in Europe, where many exotic plants can be explored in the heart of the city centre.
Thanks to Sheffield City Council for the video.
