EMR is investing £1 million to bring in nearly 200 brand-new customer information screens, including 25 interactive ones.
This project, in collaboration with suppliers Infotec and Thales, is set to improve the main EMR hubs like Derby, Nottingham, and Sheffield. Plus, regional and rural stations will also get a taste of the screen makeover.
These colorful screens are designed to shine even under different weather and lighting conditions, ensuring that everyone can easily grasp the information they provide, regardless of literacy levels or language fluency.
Twenty-five of these screens are interactive. That means you can tap into essential local and accessibility info - like onward travel options, tourist hotspots, and where to find council offices. And if you're all about exploring by foot, just scan a QR code from the screen to get some awesome walking routes.
But these screens aren't just pretty faces; they've been smartly designed to thrive in bustling environments with noise and distractions.
So, where can you find these shiny new screens? They'll be popping up at stations like Beeston, Chesterfield, Kettering, Loughborough, and more. And for those of you who can't resist tapping and swiping, interactive screens will grace stations including Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, and Sheffield, to name just a few.
