Family & Friends Railcard

Savings for kids and adults

The Family & Friends Railcard makes days out with your tribe better than ever. With a third off for up to four adults and 60% off for up to four kids, you can enjoy making memories for less. What’s more, this railcard gives you access to great discounts on holidays, dining out, tickets for popular attractions and more.

Is this the railcard for me?

If you would like to save money on family travel, absolutely.

You can name two adults as cardholders on your Family & Friends Railcard. You don't need to travel together, but you do need to travel with at least one child (aged five to 15). And you don’t need to be related, so it’s perfect for days out with friends too.

When can I use it?

Whenever you like, and as many times as you like. It’s valid with Standard Anytime, Off-Peak and Advance tickets.

If you’re travelling with kids under five, they’re completely free. But if there’s only one child in the group and they’re under five, you’ll need to buy a child ticket to be eligible for the Family & Friends discount. There’s a £1 minimum fare for child tickets.
